Forsaken is the third paid expansion to Destiny 2 and marked the beginning of the title'southward 2d year. With it came a cacophony of deep-set changes to the game, including the second iteration of the weapon loadout system in Destiny 2, new subclass branches for all nine subclasses, and the long-awaited Collections and Triumphs pages. Plot
The story of Forsaken picks upwardly right as Cayde-half-dozen and the Guardian get in at the Prison of Elders to meet Petra Venj. Upon doing so, the iii divide upward to first quelling the freshly begun prison break. However, Zavala won't permit it, leaving the Guardian to exercise what must exist done. With the support of Petra and the Spider, the Guardian ventures through the Tangled Shore of the Reef, hunting the Scorned Barons one by 1, until just Fikrul, the Fanatic, and Uldren Sov remain. They follow the two into an Awoken Watchtower, felling Fikrul at the archway. This would but delay the Fanatic however, as, similarly to Guardians, Fikrul is deathless. Equally this is happening, Uldren uses a Shard of the Traveler to open a gateway farther in the structure, every bit he believes his missing sister, Mara Sov, is guiding him to do. Following Uldren'south defeat, Petra promises answers to the Guardian, tasking them with restoring a broken Awoken Talisman commencement. Later doing this, Petra tells the Guardian to return to the watchtower, and apply the talisman to pace through into the Dreaming City. This is where Petra allows the Guardian into the fold, explaining the realm of the Awoken's Dreaming City. She also divulges whose influence Uldren was afflicted past, that being Riven, of a M Voices, last surviving Ahamkara, and the greatest undercover of the Awoken. In collaboration with the Queen'due south Wrath, the Guardian assembles a fireteam of half-dozen, and ventures deep into the Dreaming City to slay Riven.
However, as she died, the Ahamkara had 1 final wish to grant. After the defeat of Riven, the Dreaming Urban center was plunged into a never-ending curse fueled by the paracausal power of the wish-dragon, and orchestrated by Savathûn, the Witch Queen herself. The Hive god placed her daughter, Dûl Incaru, the Eternal Render, in the Ascendant Realm above the Dreaming City, leveraging Guardians to defeat her cyclically to prevent the demise of the Awoken realm. Dooming the Dreaming City to repeat the aforementioned three weeks endlessly.
Season of the Outlaw
Among the other sweeping changes made at Forsaken's release, it also laid the groundwork for the trend of seasonal content in Destiny two. The Forsaken Almanac Pass was the transitionary menstruation between DLC expansions throughout the year and four defined seasons of content in a year (The first season running concurrently to the yearly expansion). This is further evidenced past the fact that what became the Season of Opulence was rebranded as such, given that it was initially revealed as Penumbra,[two] which would plant the concurrent Season of Opulence. Legendary Collection

Digital Bonuses
Awoken Fable Set
In select editions of Forsaken was included the Awoken Legend Prepare, a set of three cosmetics to exist used in Destiny ii. The Wrath Majestic Ornament for the No Turning Back Legendary Bow, the Dirge Paladin Legendary Keepsake, and the Legendary Vestian Ghost Shell make up the three in-game items.[5] The fix was available in the Forsaken Digital Palatial Edition[11] and the Forsaken Complete Collection.[nine]
